GREAT TENNIS

Davis Cup Germany and Switzerland with new portable flooring systems by HARO Sports

Rosenheim / Ulm – When the German National Tennis Team faces Brazil in Ulm’s ratiopharm arena from 13th to 15th September during the World Relegation, there will be a new member taking part: the portable Tennis floor HARO Sports Rome Tennis by HARO Sports Flooring and Rebound Ace.

The team around National Trainer Carsten Arriens will be fighting for the top ranks amongst the best 16 Tennis nations of the Davis Cup World Group on this newly designed floor. This floor excels through its high shock absorption on the one hand and highest possible mobility on the other. And the National Teams of Switzerland and Ecuador will profit from this floor too, as they will be playing on it in Neuenburg, Switzerland as well.

Big stage appearance: HARO Sports Flooring model Rome Tennis, German-Australian Co-production, had its world premiere during the show tournament "Nike® Clash of the Champions" in 2011.

HARO Rome Tennis unites the best of two worlds: HARO Sports Flooring, one of the leading manufacturers of portable and permanently installed area-elastic sports floors, delivers the technical subconstruction and Rebound Ace, established producer of sports floors on an acrylic basis, refines the floor with its acrylic top layer. Perfect sports physiological properties and the highest quality standards according to ISO 9001 make HARO Rome Tennis a top player in the world rank list. Furthermore the floor fulfills the DIN V 18032-2; April 2001 as well as the EN 14904 and is hence apt for usage in Olympic Games, Continental and World Championships.
The new Tennis floor is subjectively more comfortable and objectively gentler for the player than regular hard courts. Athletes don’t tire as quickly and the risk of injuries declines. At the same time the ball can be played just as well as on a hard court.

Portable and flexible
The portable version of HARO Sports Rome Tennis – in a size of 800 m² - can be installed within only three hours and dismantled in even less time. Thanks to the perfect fitting of the individual plates with their patented interlocking system one may even refrain from recoating them, as is common use with other portable hard courts. A flexibility that has become essential for the intense usage of sports halls in today’s sports and events world. The high quality of the basic construction and the finish make sure that Rome Tennis can be installed and dismantled hundreds of times. And the Rebound Ace® Acrylic top layer can carry true color logos of sponsors or organizers so as to put players and sponsors into scene perfectly.

OUTDOORS AND INDOORS

World premiere: the first portable outdoor sports floor with indoor qualities

Rosenheim – World-wide professional athletes as well as organizers trust in the portable sports floors by HARO Sports Flooring. Now for the first time the company from Rosenheim presents a portable outdoor court for 3 x 3 basketball – which used to be known as street basketball – the number one trend sport. HARO Sports Rome Outdoor fulfils the same DIN standards as its role model, the portable indoor sports floor Rome 20. This means a force reduction of more than 53 % and at the same time a ball rebound of nearly 100%. Moreover, it can be installed and removed again within just two hours; perfect for events and sports festivals.

But the portable outdoor sports floor by HARO Sports Flooring, a world-wide leading manufacturer of portable and fixed-installed, elastic coating sports floors, can also remain installed outdoors over a longer period of time – for example on an outdoor court during summer – as it is resistant to moisture. Due to its ideal surface condition it does not get slippery, even if it rains during the game. This ensures an undisturbed playing experience.

First use at the “Sportfestival” in Munich
Could there be a better place to test a new sports floor than a sports festival? On the occasion of the popular sport event “Münchner Sportfestival” on 1st July 2012, the city of Munich invited its residents onto the Königsplatz in Munich to get some exercise. According to the motto “Be involved and discover your sport”, more than 70 sporting activities were waiting to be tested for free. The participants of the 3 x 3 basketball could feel like a pro on the court measuring 15 x 17 m. After all, the portable sports floor HARO Sports Rome Outdoor offers the same good properties as its indoor equivalent. And those are used world-wide in competition arenas for international games, championships and Olympic Games.

HARO Sports Flooring expects the new outdoor floor to be ready for serial production by the end of 2012, as the materials which were used up until now, such as wood, have to be replaced by ones that are suitable for use in any wind and weather.

HARO Sports Rome Outdoor can be installed and removed again within just two hours; perfect for events and sport festivals.

SET AND MATCH: HARO ROM TENNIS

Global innovation – Made in Germany, in use around the world

Rosenheim – Due to increased demand for floors with high impact absorption on one hand, and the highest possible mobility on the other, the German-Australian duo HARO Sports Flooring and Rebound Ace® has now come up with a truly global innovation: HARO Rom Tennis is the first fully mobile tennis court in the world. Hamberger provides the HARO Sports Rom mobile floor and Rebound Ace® refines it with its tried, tested and proven acrylic top coat. The first fully mobile tennis floor in the world celebrated its debut in March 2011 at the “Nike® Clash of the Champions” show tournament with tennis giants such as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in Oregon, USA.

HARO Rom Tennis combines the best of two worlds: HARO Sports Flooring, one of the leading manufacturers of mobile and permanently installed elastic surface sports floors, provides the technical substructure, and Rebound Ace®, proven provider of acrylic-based sports floors, refines the floor with its acrylic top coat. Optimum sports physiological properties and the highest quality standards in acc. with ISO 9001 make HARO Rom Tennis a top player in the world rankings. The floor also meets DIN V 18032-2; April 2001 and EN 14904, and can therefore be used for Olympic Games, continent and world championships.

Mobile and flexible
With an area of 800 m², the floor can be set up in just three hours and dismantled again in even less – a flexibility that is indispensable for intensive hall use in today’s sports and events world. The high quality of the basic structure and finish ensure that the Rom Tennis can be set up and taken down hundreds of times. Sponsor or organiser logos can be printed on the Rebound Ace® acrylic top coat for the players’ and sponsors’ optimum performance.

First European ATP use in Salzburg
After the new revolutionary tennis coat had been created in Rosenheim, where Hamberger Flooring has its headquarters, it then went into use for the first time under real competition conditions at the ATP Salzburg Indoors in Austria. The coat was applied in 48 hours by a Andy Kemmerer, Rebound Ace Europe, in the Salzburg arena. Austria’s number two, Andreas Haider-Maurer, was one of the first to test the court. The feedback on the joint-friendly coat is superb. Some players will be happy twice over: the coat’s absorption and attenuation ensures relief for the back.

Sustainable production
The wood for the Rom Tennis substructure comes from sustainably managed forests and therefore has the 100% PEFC seal of approval. And of course it’s all sustainable “down under there” too: Nike® Grind™, a Nike® Corporation division, provides an insulation underlay on request, which consists of 100% recycled materials.

Hamberger provides the HARO Sports Rom mobile floor and Rebound Ace® “refines” it with a tried, tested and proven acrylic top coat (1st layer) ...

… and now for the second.

HARO Rom Tennis goes mobile: the floor can be set up in just three hours and dismantled again in even less.
